1948 Karrier Tower Wagon
Delivered in 1948, there were two of these machines, specifically ordered to look after the maintenance of the tramway overhead equipment. The streamlined design was obviously influenced by the existing styling of the bus and tram fleet. The hydraulic tower wagons were supplied by Eagle Engineering Ltd of Warwick.
The model has alternative number plates so that either vehicle can be built. The tower is movable so that the model cam be posed to suit different situations. Two “Warning” boards are provided which can be either positioned “stored” on the back of the vehicle or set up in front and behind the “work”.
